Walking the Highlands

You really are spoilt for choice when it comes to walks here in the Highlands.  Whether you are a novice or an experienced mountaineer, there is something here for you.

There are some beautiful forest walks along Glen Nevis through Nevis Gorge and up to the impressive Steall Falls which are the 2nd highest falls in Britain.

For a scenic and leisurely walk try Neptune’s Staircase and watch the boats as they go through the locks and then take a peaceful walk along side the canal with its impressive views of Ben Nevis, Aonach Mor and look down towards Loch Linnhe.

The Cow Hill Circuit is a great walk which gives stunning views over Fort William and easy to access from the town centre.

Glencoe with its dramatic scenery, steeped in history is a short drive away with hikes such as The Lost Valley or The Devil’s Staircase, part of The West-Highland Way.
